From Helper to Founder: A Journey Built on the Road
Javed Khan’s journey with motorcycles began at the ground level. He started his career as a tour helper, supporting riders, handling everyday logistics and learning how successful motorcycle expeditions are managed behind the scenes. Those early years required patience, discipline and a willingness to take on every responsibility, but they also gave him a valuable understanding of what riders truly need during a long-distance adventure.
Determined to grow, Javed developed his technical skills and trained as a Royal Enfield mechanic. He spent years working directly with motorcycles, solving mechanical problems in demanding conditions and ensuring riders could continue their journeys safely and confidently. At the same time, he gained extensive experience as a tour guide, working alongside international travel agencies and supporting motorcycle expeditions across India and Nepal from 2010 onwards.
Through years of hard work, constant learning and first-hand experience on the road, Javed progressed from helper to mechanic, guide and eventually entrepreneur. In 2022, he founded Motorcycle Escape with the vision of creating authentic, locally led motorcycle adventures that combine expert planning, dependable support and meaningful travel experiences.
Today, Javed uses his technical knowledge, route expertise and trusted network of local contacts to design personalised motorcycle tours for individual riders, private groups and international agencies. His story reflects the same values that define Motorcycle Escape: resilience, practical experience, attention to detail and a genuine passion for the open road.

Motorcycle Escape was set-up to support the exploration of India by motorbike. Our mission is to provide riders with the opportunity to see India & Nepal up-close, allowing you to immerse in the country’s diverse landscapes, cultures, and traditions. Passionate about connecting with local adventurers in every region, we created our itineraries using our own life-time knowledge on the road and the knowledge of locals along the way.
