ITINERARY

Arrival in Delhi
- Arrive at Delhi International Airport.
- Transfer to hotel for rest and overnight stay.

Delhi to Dharamshala (Flight)
- Morning domestic flight from Delhi to Dharamshala.
- Transfer to hotel.
- Evening walk around McLeod Ganj, home of the Dalai Lama.

Dharamshala – Rest & Test Ride
- Leisurely morning.
- Short test ride to check bikes and acclimatize.
- Explore McLeod Ganj local markets, monasteries, and cafes.

McLeod Ganj to Chamba
- Ride through beautiful pine forests and mountain curves.
- Visit Khajjiar, known as the “Mini Switzerland of India.
- Overnight stay in Chamba.

Chamba to Killar via Sach Pass (Off-road Adventure)
- Challenging ride through Sach Pass (4,420m) – one of the toughest Himalayan passes.
- Narrow roads, river crossings, and incredible mountain views.

- Continue along rugged mountain trails with thrilling off-road sections.

- Cross Shinkula Pass (5,091m) into Zanskar Valley.

Purne to Padum (Scenic Ride)
- Easy ride along smooth roads and stunning landscapes.
- Arrive in Padum, the heart of Zanskar Valley.

Padum to Kargil (Long Day Ride)
- Full-day ride through Zanskar Valley.
- Cross Pensi La Pass and witness the Drang Drung Glacier.
- Reach Kargil by evening.

Kargil to Lamayuru (Short Ride)
- Ride across two high passes: Namika La (3,700m) and Fotu La (4,100m).
- Stop at Mulbekh Monastery (giant Buddha rock carving).
- Continue to Lamayuru Monastery,

Lamayuru to Leh (Old Road Ride)
- Scenic ride along the old Leh–Srinagar highway.
- Explore the “Moonland Mountains.”
- Arrive in Leh and check into hotel.

Leh to Umling La Pass – Hanle Stay
- Early morning departure for Umling La Pass (5,883m) – the world’s highest motorable road.
- Extreme high-altitude ride with breathtaking views.
- Overnight stay in Hanle, famous for its observatory.

Hanle to Leh (Same Long Day Ride)
- Ride back from the remote Hanle village to Leh
- via the same route.
- This is a long day on the road, Evening arrival in Leh, check-in to the hotel in Leh.

- ride.In the evening, gather with the group for a special farewell dinner.

Leh to Delhi – Departure (Flight Home)
- Morning transfer to Leh airport for your connecting flight to Delhi.
- Continue onward with international departure back home.
INCLUSIONS / EXCLUSIONS
Motorcycle Tour Inclusions:
Immerse yourself in a thrilling adventure with our motorcycle tour. Your experience includes:
- Contemporary Motorcycles: we can arrange the best Royal Enfield bikes, meticulously maintained. The Himalayan 450cc or 411cc options.
- All accommodation: a combination of hotels and guesthouses (due to the remoteness of some of our stops). We allow for a private room per customer unless you request to share together.
- Fuel: Unlike most other tour companies, fuel costs for the motorcycles are included in the tour package and will be covered for the mileage of our tour itinerary. The motorcycles must only be used in accordance with the tour itinerary.
- Meals: breakfast, lunch and dinner is included in our price. Our lead agent will guide you to local restaurants and help you order the best local foods of the region. Only soft drinks, water, tea and coffee are included for in beverages. Alcohol would need to be purchased separately.
Motorcycle Tour Exclusions:
- Personal Travel Insurance: Travel insurance, including health and motorcycle coverage, is not included. Clients are responsible for securing comprehensive insurance for the duration of the tour.
- As mentioned above, alcohol is not included in our price but can be purchased separately. We advise you drink responsibly during your tour.
- Flights: Airfare to and from the tour starting point is not included in the package. Internal airfare inside India is not included in the package.
- Personal Expenses: Any personal expenses, including but not limited to souvenirs, additional activities, or optional excursions, are not part of the tour package.
- Motorcycle Gear: Personal riding gear, such as helmets, jackets, gloves, and boots, is not provided. Participants are required to bring their own suitable gear.
PACKING LIST
Riding Gear:
- Helmet: Ensure it meets safety standards and is comfortable for long rides.
- Riding Jacket: Ideally a with warm layers as weather gets colder as we go higher. Day temperatures can be around 10-12’C.
- Riding Pants: as above.
- Riding Boots: Sturdy and comfortable. Waterproof if possible.
- Riding gloves
- Buff/face scarf to cover from dust as needed
- Waterproof shell jacket/trousers if gear is not waterproof.
- Some bungees to strap your small day bag to your bike (we will have some spares).
Essentials:
- Documents: International driving license, Passport/ID, travel insurance & EVisa if needed
- Money: Sufficient cash and cards; ATMs can be scarce in remote areas. We can also help you find cash withdrawals en route as needed.
- Personal Medical Kit: Bandages, pain relievers, altitude sickness medication etc.
Personal Items:
- Toiletries: Toothbrush, toothpaste, soap, etc.
- Suncrean and Lip Balm: High SPF for protection against strong mountain sun.
- Sunglasses: UV-protected and suitable for riding.
Electronics:
- Power Bank: Keep your devices charged, especially if camping.
- Adapters/Chargers: Ensure compatibility with local power outlets.
Miscellaneous:
- Backpack/Daypack: For day trips and carrying essentials.
- Ear Plugs: For reducing wind noise during long rides.
- Dry Bags: Protect important items from rain showers.
- Consider bringing warm layers as temperatures drop overnight.

There is considerable offroad riding during this tour. If you’re unsure about this style of riding, please talk to us.
The highest pass on this tour is the “Umling La Mountain Pass” with an altitude of 19024 feet (around 5799 meters). We do not recommend this tour for anyone with previous issues with altitude or pre-existing medical conditions. If in doubt, please talk to your doctor before booking with us.
